Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Wanaka and work throughout Otago — Wanaka, Albert Town, Hawea, Luggate, Cromwell, Queenstown, Arrowtown, Alexandra and the surrounding districts. Get in touch if you're a little further out; we'll let you know honestly whether we can help.
Do you supply the hardwood, or install only?
Both. We supply hardwood flooring as well as lay it, so you can have the material and the installation on a single quote from a single team. If you've already chosen your timber, or you're buying through your builder, we're just as happy to quote installation only. Tell us which suits and we'll price it that way.
How much does a new floor cost?
It depends on the material, the area, and the condition of the subfloor. Rather than quote a misleading figure online, we measure on site and send a written, itemised quote — free and with no obligation.
How long will the job take?
A typical residential floor takes two to four days including preparation. Wet areas needing waterproofing require curing time between coats. We give you a firm timeframe with the quote and tell you straight away if anything changes.
Do you do waterproofing for bathrooms?
Yes — wet-area waterproofing is a core part of what we do, and it's the step that determines whether a bathroom lasts. We waterproof and tile bathrooms, en suites, laundries and kitchen splashbacks.
Can underfloor heating go under any floor?
Most floors, but not all. Tile and stone are ideal. Engineered timber and laminate are usually fine provided the manufacturer allows it and the temperature is controlled. We check the specification before we commit to anything.
Do you work with builders and developers?
Regularly. A good share of our work comes from construction companies and renovation firms who use us as their subcontractor for flooring, tiling and waterproofing. We're used to working alongside other trades on a live site.
